Making Tracks!

Took this this afternoon. Decided to work on taking pictures with my phone as well as with my camera.

It was too cold outside to shoot, as I had a chill. I shot this ornament tri-cycle I have.

Also shot the Memorial Plaque for Dad, that my cousin made, the rock on plucked from the Skeens River, when we did Dad's Ashes.

Day 49 - October 26, 2009

Okay, this shot was totally random on Monday and I'm glad I took it as it is kinda interesting. Took it on my way back in from my break with my phone. I would have taken more, but I went to visit a sick friend and never took any pictures with my camera.

One way home from my sick friends place, I had to stop and let some local traffic cross the road. Again with my phone, through my windshield.

Sorry, I copped out of taking a picture today. Not really feeling creative with a sore jaw from the Dentist, had a molar extracted, with a migraine to boot.

Okay, Friday was Phone Friday, I went to my brother's in Red Deer Friday night, for my niece Hailey's birthday party and caught this lovely sight.

Day 38 - October 15, 2009

So I am having a really rough day, and am not feeling creative.

So this will appear to be a cop out, but whatever.

What I am posting is a picture taken durning WWII when the Nazi's invaded the Netherlands, and this is before the Dutch surrendered.

Day 37 - October 14, 2009

My creativity is certainly off mark, nothing pops out at me saying "shoot me!"

And keeping in mind that am totally an amatuer, I feel to improve my ability in using my camera, and take better pictures, sometimes it helps to look around you and shoot what you see not what you want to see.

So today's picture is what I saw, not what I wanted. Still lucked out.

Day 36 - October 13, 2009

So I had no creativity today, and was going to work on my DOF today, but I'm just too wiped. Still kicking off all the miles I put on from the long weekend.

So I came up with the concept, to hopefully bring on a thought or idea. I used a burnt out lightbulb and low quality LED light.

An as you can see my light isn't to bright, today, but it is my thought and picture for the day.

Day 35 - October 12, 2009

I was on the last stretch of my roadtrip and making good time, at the east end of Jasper Park, there was an accident, murphy's law. We were held up for 45 min before they opened the highway again. My picture of the day is what I took while driving through the accident site.

From what I understand this was a headon collison, and there was a fatality.

Day 34 - October 11, 2009

I stopped on at a rest stop this afternoon to stretch the legs, I am on my way home and took this snapshot. Today I was to do a self-portrait and I did. I just really liked this shot too.

Day 33 - October 10, 2009

Today got up and went for breakfast with Mom, and part of what we were going to do today was, go down to Hazelton. This is where my father loved to salmon fish, and this is where we secretly put some of his ashes.

My actual picture for the day is this guy to the below, I love the whole look of the totem.

Day 32 - October 9, 2009

Did some touring today, as my Oma was sleeping when we went to visit. Went up the mountain and can back down again. Drove to the otherside to get pictures of the valley filled with color and snow. Below are two panoramic of looking down the mountain than looking up it again.

Day 31 - October 8, 2009

On my way to Smithers, I driving along making good time I stopped randomly and took some pics, took several pics, deciding was tough. but I have 2 top pics so I'm gonna post them both.

 

Day 30 - October 7, 2009

I left for my roadtrip to Smithers, BC tonight, on my way it was getting dark and I had not shot anything. I came over a hill near Edson, and found this flame lighting up the sky, so I thought why not, I took several shots, this is the best one. Nothing like a Natural Gas Flame to lighten your night. In trying different functions on my camera this is what turned out. Looks like a floating fireball.
